ABS provides abrasion, moisture and creep resistance as well as good chemical and stress-cracking resistance to inorganic salt solution, alkalies, and many acids. Superb electrical properties. Two grades are available: extruded vacuum formable and annealed.
A flame retardant V-O rated ABS is also available.
HDPE (high density polyethylene) has a higher density and more rigidity than the low density grade and has good impact and abrasion resistance with continuous heat to 180°F. Choose the stress relieved stock if you plan to heat-form or machine the sheet.
A preferred replacement for acetal where there is a concern for dimensional stability after machining. P.E.T. has excellent wear resistance and a low coefficient of friction, in addition to a very low water absorption rate and being FDA compliant. The low moisture characteristic makes P.E.T. ideal for electrical applications. The outstanding hardness and stiffness properties along with good chemical resistance enables P.E.T. to be the answer to many applications.

The lightest of all commercial plastics with a good balance of properties. Operates safely at temperatures to 140°F with excellent resistance to many chemicals. Has high surface hardness and superior abrasion resistance.

Polystyrene is formulated to provide excellent toughness, stiffness and impact strength. It will meet a wide variety of applications as it is a very versatile and inexpensive plastics. As an amorphous thermoplastic material, it is easily fabricated by drilling, routing, sawing, die cutting or thermoforming.
Clear PVC pipe is versatile and an outstanding choice for sight glass applications. Clear PVC matches or exceeds the performance of copper, stainless steel, or glass at a far lower cost than any other alternative. Clear PVC pipe offers smooth interior walls that allow for unimpeded flow and reduced sediment buildup. Its clarity provides the all-around visibility that specialized applications demand.
An exceptionally tough plastic that holds up, even after repeated impact. For example, it doesn't break under IZOD impact testing. Abrasion resistance is extraordinary, with low friction under load. Virgin Grade UHMW is also exceptionally resistant to chemical attack including organic solvents. It's easily machined, self-lubricating and absorbs almost no water. Has high dielectric strength, but only moderate compression strength.
