RYERTEX® Phenolics.... strong, stable, durable

A finer weave cotton fabric with 40% higher tensile strength than CE. Great for smaller electrical parts requiring more intricate machining. Class A Insulation with low moisture absorption.

This popular thermosetting plastic holds its strength throughout its 248°F safe-operating range It doesn't soften with heat and thermal expansion is minimal. Ryertex combines the tensile strength of Nylon with unbeatable compressive strength. Layers of woven cotton fabric, saturated in phenolic resins, are fused under heat and pressure into one of the most durable plastics. Has excellent wear and abrasion resistance with a low coefficient of friction. Extremely resistant to organic solvents.

Combines good tensile strength and high compressive strength with Class A electrical insulation values and low water absorption. Easy to machine. Medium weave, bleached cotton fabric. Two choices: Molded bars with spiral-wound fabric. Or bars centerless ground from plate, with horizontal fabric laminations.
